Warning : Microsoft office 2013 is released in cloud technology and not sure whether office 2013 works on a trail based system . The below article is about extending the office 2010 trial. This feature is given  by Microsoft itself to corporates for continuing their work in case they didn’t notice the trial end period. This feature is called ‘re arm’ office 2010. This article is written anticipating the same feature should be available in excel 2013 also.

If you have installed Microsoft Office 2010 you may looking for all the possible ways to extend the trails period. There is a chance for you scope. Usually you will find that Microsoft allows you to use the full functionality of Office 2010 for 30 days and that you have to register Microsoft Office  to continue using it. Just like Microsoft Windows 7 , you can rearm and use Microsoft Office  and extend the trial up to 6 months or 180 days. 

This new feature is known as ‘office rearm’ So, the rearm function in Office is actually provided for the convenience of corporate customers. Microsoft allows in total 5 rearm of Office.once rearmed added 30 days of free usage is allowed without activation. hence the 5 rearm can extend the free usage of Office up to 6 months or 180 days. 

To rearm latest ms Office  and get another 30 days of free usage, simply, run the OSPPREARM.EXE command file at the following folder: 

%Program Files%\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\OfficeSoftwareProtectionPlatform\ 

You can open a command prompt window and type the following command: 

C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\OfficeSoftwareProtectionPlatform\OSPPREARM.EXE 

If you are using 64-bit Windows OS and have installed 32-bit Office 2010, then you will need to run the following command in command prompt: 

C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\OfficeSoftwareProtectionPlatform\OSPPREARM.EXE 

And the path of the file is located at: 

%ProgramFiles(x86)%\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\OfficeSoftwareProtectionPlatform\ 
 Another simple method to rearm Office 2010 and extend its trial period is to use a application named ‘Office trial extender’. The Office 2010 Trial Extender is a free portable application that does the job for you. It can run the rearm command by simply clicking on a single button “Rearm“. I hope they will come up with “The office 2013 trial extender” application also to make our life easier.
